Hi I'm trying to identify the switches in my rv and my owners manual is a little different (picture) than what mine has.Click image for larger version

The two marked with light beams would be easy to test, turn them on and walk around the RV. If they are momentary switches, they may be to flash the lights to signal thanks. The downward angled light switch might be cockpit or map lights inside.

The battery icon could be your 'boost' switch to connect the house and chassis batteries together. If it's a spring loaded switch, I'd imagine that's it's function. If a two position switch, it might be to switch dash radio from ignition (chassis) control to house battery for use when camped. The second from the left could be an blower fan or defrost switch, more often see that symbol on boats to run blower to vent engine compartment before starting. Not sure of the lightning bolt.

I would say the lightening bolt one would be for the generator since it has the hours meter below it. On ours you press and hold the lower rocker to start it. To stop it you hold the upper rocker 15 seconds to stop the fuel pump then it shuts off when the fuel runs out.

Do you know where I would find a switch that turns all the in house power off? A battery disconnect/connect switch? I think there is one just to the left of my steps going in and it rocks either way but doesn't stay on either side.

The disconnect switch is only a momentary switch, it only supplies power when you have your finger on the button. It only takes a second for the latching solenoid/relay to work.

Usually somewhere just inside your door or in the step bay.

Charlie 5320 is spot on about the spring rocker switch for the battery disconnect switch. If it's quiet, you should hear the 'clunk' of the relay as in switches on and off. If you only have one disconnect, it most likely is the House batteries that are being disconnected. Many RVs have a second battery disconnect for the chassis batteries too. Be aware that the battery disconnect isn't a 100% disconnect, some small, phantom draws could discharge the batteries over time. If you disconnect the (+) terminal and bridge the circuit with an ammeter you can see what things are still connected.

I also agree with sjweave, the lightning bolt is most likely your generator switch.

this might give you an idea of the switches

The lightning bolt is the Genny start and stop. the battery is the chassis disconnect or what is called the salesman switch. the one with the big light turns on the overhead light between the front seats called an isle switch. the one with the bower is for the optional fans located on overhead. Small light far left is the ICC switch.

Thank you all very much for the info! I may have a chance to look into it all today. I will give the salesman switch a try and the remote gen start.

Atwood hot water heater when you turn it on the light will come on then go off when the water heater ignites. Light will stay on if it did not light the water heater properly.
