AGS controller location

First, we are brand new to the RV adventure and dove in with both feet. We decided on a 2006 Tuscany for our first. So I have some learning to do.

Does anyone know where the AGS controller might be located in the 2006 Tuscany coach?. I wanted to check the temp settings which it looks like you can't do from the remote but I can't find the controller. It is my understanding that you can set the temp so the gen will come on and the AC will run keeping our dogs cool if the shore power fails but it looks like that must be done at the controller.

No replies on this so far. Is there a way to tell there even is one? I read somewhere that you can have a remote without having the controller.

AGS reply

I have a 2009 Damon Essence with AGS system. It is in the control center above the entrance door behind the first cabinet door by the window. The remote control is in the bottom left of the control center, labeled as a Magnum with a dial on the right side that you use to make the various settings. There are, I think six push buttons and a small screen about 1" high and 3" wide for use to set the controls.
Hope this helps you.

Yep I have that. But in addition to that remote you need the controller with temp probe. I found that if you look at the inverter there is a plug in for network. If it is empty, you don't have the controller and no ags.

Controller location

On my Essence, You have to remove the board that the AGS is located on (the whole 18" x 24" cover board holding all of your instruments including the AGS) and under the cover board the controller is mounted. You cannot see it unless you remove the board with all of the screws around the edge holding it in place. You will then see the controller.

I removed that cover and it's not there. I don't think I have one and there is nothing plugged into the network port on the inverter so I guess I will have to add it.

Attached is a copy of the document describing the installation and operation of the AGS system installed in my Damon Essence. This should help you determine if you have this system installed.

Yeah, its not there. I have decided to order and install the Onan EC-30W. I will let y'all know how that goes.

Thanks for the pointers.

EC-30W

Forgot about this. I installed the 30W and it works great. It took me about 40 minutes to get it installed and running.

Doesn't come on when shore power is present. If shore power goes out and you have the temp set in the control then the gen will start. And of course if you had your air conditioner on then it will come on after that. Also its supposed to come on when the house battery volt level gets too low so that they will charge. Haven't tested that. You can also set the quiet times in the control if needed.

So all in all, I'm pretty pleased with it.
