Check engine light blinked on then off once during drive

Hi, during my monthly drive the check engine light came on as I was pulling up to a stop sign. It turned off in about 5 seconds and stayed off for the rest of the drive. All fluid levels are correct. Should I worry? Take it into Freightliner? Any ideas?

2008 Astroia 33k miles on the Cummins 340hp engine.

Don't believe it will stay off for long. It probably threw a code so you might want to get the code checked at a Cummins facility or other good diesel shop. Always check www.rvservicreviews.com first. I'd go to either one of those shops before I'd go to a Freightliner shop. Seems they think that owning an RV makes you rich.

Parts stores will be unlikely to have code readers for diesel chassis. They do have automotive readers. I recommend reading the code and getting your own reader. Silverleaf VMSpc is the one to use. It reads out on a laptop. Just one use can save the cost and effort to go to a shop. Most times the code indicates a minor problem that you can fix yourself. My VMSpc has been in use for ten years and I have read codes and taken care of anything necessary.
