Coolest Floorplan I've ever seen in a 37' gas coach

2009 Challenger Platinum 371 for Sale - A775 - PPL Motor Homes

HEY, anyone have one of these? 371 Platinum by Damon/Thor?

I really am in love with this floor plan.....

Anyone had/have one of this model with the sliding doors separating the living/kitchen areas?

Comments?

Thanks!

Nice plan but can see no useful purpose for the sliding doors between the kitchen and living areas.

Is this to keep guest out of the fridge at night? They would have to open the door to go to the washroom anyway. While on the way past the fridge I would grab a beer anyway.

Definitely like the dinette on the curb side. That is the change I would make to our unit.

Chassis GVWR ? CCC ?
Lot of equipment in there on a long gas chassis, could be very easy to overload. Just saying.

I remember seeing that floorplan at the RV show. They specifically closed off the sliding doors to create a private office, using the desk. I thought the sliding glass doors were more of a sales gimmick, than a true feature for actual owners.

It's a nice roomy floorplan for one or two people. Really only sleeps three, or four adults. Not enough sleeping area for a family with two teenagers, (like me).... (unless you can talk them into sharing the sofa bed....not going to happen)!

The Challenger model line-up have been and continue to be some of the nicest floor plans in the gas Motorhome segment, IMHO...narrowing the gap between gas and Diesel rigs - see:
2015 Challenger Motorhomes: Class A RV by Thor Motor Coach
See the current 37KT is very similar...and still being produced.

If seriously looking at this unit, the owners manual and original sales flyers are on-line here:

Best luck

We currently have a 2011 Challenger with this floorplan and really appreciate the ability to isolate the living room area from the rest of the coach. It really works well with keeping the golden retrievers in the kitchen area when we are out of the coach for an extended period of time.

We came back to the MH once while at Ft. Wilderness at Disney and found our 60 lb. golden up on the dash area watching the people walking around the campground loop. We now keep the doors closed, LOL!

This is an excellent price for this coach.

I may go see it (can't get one, but maybe it will be what I would like in the future)

We just tried out a 2013 37KT and had moderate load in the front part of the dining area and sprung the whole frame. Dealer reworked the area a little and will have to do major rebuild to get the room to retract the way it should. Be careful how you load this area.

It shows a king size bed on floor plan but says queen size bed in the info.

That is a nice floorplan; FWIW, I believe Winnebago had a model a few years ago (the 38R Adventurer?) that was very similar.

Since I often get sucked into working late hours when there's an issue/outage at work, I can appreciate the desire to be able to block off the front...also, I think it gives you a more "home" feeling.

I agree. This is the current Thor Challenger 37KT floorplan. We love it, and you can buy one.
