Looks great. I have similar issues with my 2006. How did you strip the decal and prep the gel coat and how did you match the color. It Looks Spot on

Used heat gun and plastic scraper to get decals off. Then heat and Goo B Gone to get off most all the glue. Lastly I used Acetone to remove the left over glue and wax.

I bought some 3m tape in 1/4" and 1/2" wide rolls to make the curves. As far as paint I just bought off the shelf that looked close.

When taping, the toughest part is trying to see the halo from the old tape outline.

Just to follow up on questions. The paint is Rust-oleum Proffessional Red Regal V7565, The scrapers I used are NORPRO Amazon.com : Pan Scrapper - Sold As Single Scrapper Assorted Colors : Pot Scraper : Everything Else. Heat gun from Harbor Freight plus disposable gloves when painting. 3M tape 1/4", 1/2" and 1&1/2 inch painters tape.

Mine is like yours, in that it looks like the purple is the only graphic to show any damage.

Ok two more red stripes done, couple of small BOO BOO's but I'll leave it alone for now. Now thinking if I want to replace the other red missing ones or just leave it. I have to do the gray and one of the gray long stripes I may do in blue. I'll think about it on my 4th of july get a way. I need a break

So now on to the gray stripes. What a pain, too me 7+ hours to get them off one side. Goof Off Professional is the only thimg to cut the glue. Tomorrow on to the other side, I hope. Plan to paint most gray again but the longer ones blue.

Well I couldn't wait till after the 4th so I took all the gray stripes off and painted 3 coats. The stripes near the decals of the sun I painted in Royal Blue. Have to wait until tomorrow to see the finised product.

Well 99% done. Have to touch up some of the red and gray that peeled. I'll do that with an artist brush. It's a far cry better than the old decals.
