Hello RVers
I'm new to these forums and RVing, few weeks ago i bought Damon Intruder 349 model from 1999 F53 chassis 6.8L V10 Triton. It needs some attention and improvements done before will be usable again. I'm based in UK.
Speaking of work that needs to be done, i have few questions (i know it's not good place to ask a questions, but it will make it easier if i post them here and maybe will get redirected to right place)
First of all, what engine oil i will need to buy, i've asked at Ford dealership
but they have not a clue. Specification says
WSS-M2C153-G with API certification mark. Can i buy any good quality 5W30 or it needs to be something particular.
Same question for engine coolant
ESE-M97B44-A and transmission fluid Mercon or Mercon V.
Regarding transmission i've crawled under and noticed that sump has a plug for draining. From what i've found it should be without a plug, unless it was 'upgraded' or i've got different transmission than i think. See photo.
I thing it's a 4 gear one, but i may be wrong.
Lastly, my leveling jacks do not work. I have HWH leveling system, there is no lights on the panel, seems completely dead. I have no idea how do they work hence can't even start to investigate where is the problem. Any wiring diagrams, manuals regarding leveling jacks will be greatly appreciated.
Generally any help regarding F53 and Damon Intruder will be very, very welcome.
PS. What exactly engine is F53, is it Ford's F150 or something else?
Thank you for reading and getting that far, and for help in advance
