Help - No Power.

I have a 2008 Damon Tuscany. It has been parked at the house for 2 weeks since I took it out of storage and has been plugged in to our 50 amp plug I had installed earlier this spring. This morning everything was working fine. I was watching satellite tv and getting ready for our first trip next weekend. The inverter display said float charging. I washed the rv and went inside to get the key for the motor compartment to check the oil. I noticed the Magnum Invertor display was blank. Went and looked at the the green light on the magnum invertor and it is not on. I can not run the tv now or anything that is 120 even though I am plugged in to 50 amp. I sure hope it is not the invertor, they are expensive. Any ideas on what might be going on? Is there a main fuse/breaker somewhere I should check?? Help.

In the base of the Magnum inverter is a couple of circuit breakers. They look like little round buttons and when popped they will show a black top with white stem, if I remember correctly. Push the popped breaker in and you should have power again.

Does the microwave work? If it is every single 120v then it may be your transfer switch. I say this because not everything 120v goes through the inverter so if nothing is working then the power is not getting through to your main breaker board. Do you have a volt meter that you use? Check every outlet if you know how....or do the safe thing...call an electrician.

I would still switch every breaker on and off just to make sure, including the 50 amp breaker on the main panel.

DUH......just thought of this....there may be a switch just inside the door that got turned off accidently. This happened to a very good friend of ours...it is a very easy thing to do and he had spent over an hour trying to chase it down when I asked him if he checked that switch!
Good luck.

humm washing the RV i would start with the 50 amp plug

this may be some thing with water getting in some where it should haven't

power plugs on the out side of the RV

i am sure its some thing small just going to be hard to find

transfer switch may be some thing to look at as most run off 12vdc so i would all so look at all 12v fuses

no - the microwave does not work. I took the cover off the box where the 50 amp cord is attached to the camper...another cord also comes in to the box, maybe from the generator?? - .looks like a couple big switches...there is a little green light that is not on. Are these the transfer switches? Do these go bad? Could this be the reason there is no power at the inverter?? I can not find any breakers or anything in the box.

lyonsden- Did you check the switch at the entry? This really could be the problem. (See my second post) We did have to replace a transfer switch that was about a year old- so yes...they do go bad.)

Where is the "Power Center" in your rig? Find It!
This is from your Owners Manual:
Quote:

No AC power to unit.
Check circuit breakers at power center. The 120 Volt circuit breaker may be off or
tripped.
Quote:

Generator starts, but lacks electrical power.
Breaker switches may be off or tripped at generator. Reset breaker if necessary.
Breaker may be off or tripped inside power center. Reset main breaker If
necessary.

When you say switch at the entry door - I am assuming you are referring to the "in use - store" switch. Yes I have checked that and it is on and the red light indicator on the switch is on as well.
