House Battery Replacement Options
Hi, I have a 2001 Damon Challenger.
After sitting at the mechanic’s for 2 weeks, the house batteries came back dead - 2 x 6v. Cant get a reading on the load meter, and a very low reading on the multimeter. Dead.
I am about to install solar, but I need a temporary 12v power supply before I get the Lithium batteries all hooked up properly to finish some electrical and interior work.
Any suggestions for cheap temporary batteries? I don’t have shore power access.
Thanks!

Start the engine, let them charge a bit and start the generator to continue charging them.
Drawing them to 0 volts doesn't mean they can't be recharged and use for a while.

Unfortunately the generator starts off the house batteries, so it won’t crank.
Is it worth trying to a charge them with a better charger?

Start the engine, or use the aux start switch to start the generator.

Will try the recharge option.

If the boost switch didn't work, the solenoid it controls is bad, very common issue.
Its also the same solenoid that directs chassis battery charger to the house batteries, while on the road.

So to close the loop, I ended up getting a new 12V battery with enough amps to crank the generator - all good.
A 5A and a 15A fuse were blown on the BCC, which when replaced, now makes the battery disconnect and 12V system work again.
Thanks for everyone’s help to trouble shoot!
