Is there a truck shop or battery place near you who can test them?

They need to be tested to insure you don't have any dead cells. Even though they are new there could be an issue.

both batteries will charge in series unless one battery is faulty.

If they are completely dead that is not good for the batteries. In picture I have circled in red the negative terminals the black knob is my battery disconnect when I put the MH in storage I unscrew this so not to drain battery. I have two 12 volt batteries hooked in parallel.

You have two 6 volt batteries hooked in series to get 12 volts. If you place one battery on a charger make sure you use a 6 volt charger. leave them in series to charge on a 12 volt charger.

That's what I thought. So frustrating. Not much time to spend on it.

I wanted to show you the battery disconnect knob that I unscrew when I don't have the MH hook up to shore power for long periods so the batteries does not drain.

I have a momentary switch by the steps labeled battery disconnect and connect. Get nothing either way. No lights on my battery indicator above the stove either.

I also have a battery disconnect switch on the dash. This way nothing can drain down the battery when I disconnect the battery terminal. Your generator should start off the chassis battery.

Do you have a start switch on the Generator itself? What brand of generator is it?
