It has been some time ago that I was last on the forum. I just replaced the fan clutch in the Damon. Been having an over heat problem. Went thru the doghouse and changed it from the top. took me about an hour and a half. also changed out the spark plugs wires. Idols much better now. The wires were original to the MH. Over heat problem is solved and now the Norcold refer wont light on the gas. Found the problem to be in the ignition module. So decided to up grade all the control modules for preventative measures. Total cost for that will be around $200 bucks for the boards.

My steps would not retract when the ignition was started, Lippert told me it the controller needs changing. Also my power mirrors stopped working.

I make sure the steps go up when I close the door when I am in travel mode. I don't depend on the ignition switch for this. Then I double check be looking in the outside mirror. This procedure was implemented after I hit the curb with the steps out. Thank goodness it did not bend them up too badly.
The motor has a spot that wont let the steps retract unless I tap it with a hammer. I have a replacement motor for it but have yet to put it in

Same here, I always make sure I can see them retracted.
I spoke to the dealer and they changed the same control unit 13 months ago.
Oh, forgot to mention did a major patch job on my awning, it does not leak anymore

Wont be long and I will need to replace the awning. The one I have has been out of business for many years although you can still get some parts for it.
The material is starting to get a little worn and will need replacing.

I was at mine about 10 days ago, ran the gen for an hour for exercise and charge up the batteries. Will go over this weekend and do the same.
I did purchase a Camco chopping board to go over the stove top to give me some more counter space. I must replace or bleach the sink tops though. The board is non slip so stays on the stove when driving. Well worth the 27$ it cost.

I don't have a long trip, The MH is 75 feet from the house under a 18x 35 RV carport. Along with the John Deere tractor for company. We have a metal cover that is hinged over the stove. Being a 26 foot counter space is a premium making the table the extended prep area. I would say 85% of the time we are outside cooking under the awning.

Out storage is about 5 miles away, which is not too bad.
We do have plenty of space at home for a carport/pole barn but my wife pulled her veto card.
You should check out one of those boards for the stove.
