Can I get you guys to check the CCC on your units? The yellow sticker on the unit I'm looking at reads 5400lbs. That seems high compared to the other units I've looked at!

My GVWR is 12,300 the GCWR is 1700 making my CCC 4,700.

Interesting! I took a cell pic of the yellow CCC sticker with veh # within the RV showing the 5400 lb number!

The online brochure for this RV reads a GVWR of 22000, and a GCWR of 26000 equaling 4000lbs?

Can I assume the yellow sticker inside the RV, and specific to this units Vin # is correct? We won't use 1/4 of that....LOL.

I don't have a yellow sticker on mine. It does have the vin # with GVWR, GVWR, and axel ratings on mine. you will have 800 in fresh water and gas. two people 300 That is 1/4 of that 4000

Coming from the TT world, I forgot about fuel weight. As far as water weight, being we normally stay at State parks with water hookups, I don't think we have ever carried more than five gallons for possible flush use enroute to and from!

Ok, we won't use 1/2 of that......LOL !

We have a 40 gal fresh water tank and carry that half full unless we stay at a COE that does not have water at every site. We also have a state park here about 20 miles from me that is open all year with no water hook up. On long trips I carry it half full incase on emergency. I don't notice the extra weight. We go camping almost all year depending on weather. I have heat wrapped tanks.

Nothing new on the RV ! Balls in my court on if I want to have a new RV carport built to house this RV, or continue to look for an RV that will fit under my current building.

Decisions.....decisions.......

Still haven't made up my mind on this issue either. I leave it parked outside all year long. During the ice storm I run the heat inside so the ice does not build up on it. Not enough snow to worry about that down here.

I am hoping spring will be in full flight come April
so I can get the Daybreak out for for trips.

We will do some local trips for the first few outing, but cone May we will go to stay at Pictured Rocks in the Michigan Upper Peninsula. It's a 300 mile drive for us, also it will be my first time driving such a big vehicle ovee the Mackinac bridge.

GVWR is weight of vehicle with everything on board (total load)
GCWR is weight of vehicle plus any trailer
The axle weights will usually add up to more than GVWR to give an envelope of loading positions without going over axle weights
CCC is the load that is theoretically available to carry on the vehicle (doesnt include trailer) that is difference between GVWR and ULW of the vehicle
this is sometimes quoted by the manufacturer based on the build weight
but is safest worked out by weighing the vehicle in a known condition .
eg with full fuel and lpg and water . Then you know what you can load
without forgetting people HTSH

We drove our Damon Astoria 3786 over the bridge last year, beautiful sight! You'll not have a problem except keeping you eyes on the road, seeing the two great lakes at once was a thrill for us from California.

I just googled that bridge to get info and pics! This morning there is a high wind warning / dangerous condition for crossing motorists! It's great they have current info for crossings!
