Importing US built 1997 Daybreak 3010 into Canada?

I want to import my 1997 Damon Daybreak into Canada.
Has anyone gone through this process and can offer advice?

- I understand Canadian vehicles must have automatic on Daytime Running Lights rather a manual light switch. Is this modification complicated or expensive?

I have helped 2 friends import MHs about the same vintage as yours into Canada.

You will need to send the import info to the crossing you will use 72 hours before you cross.

I also wired in a relay to turn the low beam headlights on when the ignition is turned on. I used the parking light positive wire for the "ground" for the relay. That way the relay will cut off when the lights are turned on (park or headlights)

There's a website that will show what make and model of MH can or can't be imported into Canada as well.

The Register of Imported Vehicles is where you check to see if you can import your motorhome.
