Inverter problem

I replaced the inverter that came with my 2009 Damon Astoria with a Go Power GP-3000-12. Everything has been going great until 2 nights ago. We moved to higher ground at night when the rv park started flooding. When I plugged back in I didn't have any power. So I went and unplugged and tried again. Nothing. Went to my Inverter and turned it off and then back on again. It started going through it's checks and a 5 second flash of light as if someone was welding inside the inverter and now I really have nothing! Any ideas or suggestions as to what went wrong?

Your inverter doesn't have an internal transfer switch, how did you wire it ?

If you put shore power to it, it will do bad things.

If you added a transfer switch and it transfered to inverter power, how much load was on it ? May have overloaded it.

In any case, that's not a very good inverter. It draws 2+ amps at idle and is MSW.
