Thanks Steve. We have pretty much decided to go with AM SOLAR and expect to start install March 1st here in South Florida. Yup, we are excited. Our trek to Western National Parks will be more comfortable with extended bookdocking capability. I'll work on pix.

Yes, I purchased the same one. Just trying to figure out where and how they mounted it at the factory. Any pictures you could share would be SUPER!

Thanks!

Out of curiosity what did the corners weigh?
We just purchased a 2012 Astoria 36MQ. The dealer told us to keep 120 in the tires.

When you get a chance have your motorhome weighed - all four corners individually, then check the weight charts from the tire manufacture. We did this, our weight required 110PSI in each tire instead of the 120psi on the tire wall as max pressure. We could not tell any handling difference. We only have 41000 great miles (including a trip to Alaska) and tires look good ... At seven years old, but we'll replace them this year.

What size are your tires. Our tires are 255/70 R225. Do you have larger tires?

Enjoy your motorhome, we only regret we don't have more time for travel!

Steve

110 is nice! 120 and I can feel BB's when I ride over them. No more miles than I put on mine, because I am still slaving away in the salt mine, My tires will rot before I ever wear them out! 103-104 PSI is REALLY sweet...

2012 Astoria with the Goodyears on her...I have around 4 thousand miles on her so far...

We went to the RV Show in Oaks, Pa Saturday, While the floor was very "light" on Class A's, esp. Pushers, there was nothing that looked better than our Astoria. All in all it was a good day though. DW & I teamed up w/ a young couple from church looking for a small, lightweight trailer with bunks for their 2 young boys. It was fun sharing RV'ing knowledge & looking at other units that we'd simply walk past.

Jim,
Saw this and I discovered I had a small leak too. Tightened the clamp & alls well. After a ride I noticed an antifreeze drip at the front of the coach. Upon investigation, I noticed a union on the heater hoses in the genny compartment. Those clamps required a few turns. ( they are along the firewall, L.H. side of the genset)

Glad you caught it! On our maiden voyage...rolling down I-85...I experienced a low coolant expansion tank alarm... for a minute I thought a warp core breech...pulled into a truck stop and put a gal of antifreeze in it...no problems after that amazingly enough...I found the leak later on in the fall!

Oil leak? Interesting. Tell more, please. Our 2008 has been leak-less (knock on wood), with the exception of a water leak under the sink that was caused by the fitting being too loose. Fixed that long time ago. I've had leaks in all my other RVs and feeling good about the last 5 1/2 years.

David, a few years ago there was a post about replacing the camera and monitor on the Damon love my outlaw forum. It sounded rather simple. Are you also going to add right and left turn cameras? Please post photos of your process. The conversation is on our list...

Is your M/M the 3776 model?
Steve

camera

steve

Yep - we are a 3776 model with bunks - have not had any issues or problems

Camera - thanks for the forum reference - currently reading and investigating best option; not sure I would need the side cameras but may be a nice option since I want to upgrade

thank You!
