USAA- Through Progressive we pay about $100 per month. We actually pay an annual lump sum and save a few dollars. The Progressive insurance seems good, only a few windshield chips repaired, no accidents or mishaps requiring them to pay.... just the way I like it.

Have leaking issue in the front compartments on each side of our Astoria. Not sure, where the water is coming from. Anyone had this problem?

I presume that the wetness was detected in the carpet on the bottom of the cargo bays.
I had that experience with my 2010. If so, I first thought that the spray off the front wheels was getting in somewhere but later ruled that out. I think the problem is the quality of the seals that the cargo bay doors press up against. The seal design is nothing like a 'real' door, like the coach front door or a car door. I have tried adjusting the closure pressure on the door by removing the spacer washers on the catch and it helped a bit but if you over do it, it will widen the gap at the hinge side and just relocate the problem.. I think the best solution is to find a rubber molding that is thicker and denser than the one that is on there now. Fortunately we live in a climate that only gets about 8 inches of rain in the summer and we're not here in the winter. When we head south in November down I-5 through Oregon it's usually raining pretty hard so the only fix is to wait until we get to Southern California and leave the bay doors open for a day or two to dry the carpet out. If anyone has found a better seal molding that the original I would like to hear about it.

Basement compartments? Yes, front and others. I found a small gap between the wheel well and the front compartment several years ago. I used a foam seal and silicone seal to fill the area. I also used a clear silicone seal and resealed all the molding around the compartment door and placed a added section of rubber seal on the compartment doors. I sort of made a mess of things until I learned how to apply the clear silicone seal, now it is looks like the original sealing. I have not had a leak since.

Other leak ( a small drip) was coming in from what I thought was the front windshield. after a lot of testing with a garden hose I found a leak through the front cap at the running lights. I pulled off the running lights lens, dried the bulbs/lens and placed a thin line of clear silicone along the bottom of the lens and screw hole before reinstalling. It seems to work.

leaking compartment

Thanks. We were thinking it was probably the door seals. Then we read somewhere could be a shower leak. We did encounter a hose leak when we were out in AZ during the winter. Turns out a poorly designed hose from the kitchen sink runs underneath the slide out is not quite long enough to allow enough stretch, It cracked somehow when the slideout is open. That hose was so hard to find my husband ended up going to a pool supply for flexible hose and replaced it.
We thought that was the resolve. Now after a rainy spring still wet compartment. Makes sense it could be the seals.

Steve is dead on the problem...those tires in the rain running 60 MPH pump hundreds of gallons of water per hour...right back in the wheel wells...so seal those cracks up! I pulled that carpet back and sealed on both sides...having said that the bay doors will leak some...in very heavy rain...a thicker rubber might help!

I would like to get the wiring diagrams for my 2010 Astoria. I have searched the Thor site and a done a general Google search but no results of any meaningful information.
My buddy has an Itasca and on the Winnebago site you can drill down by year, make, model and serial number range to get very detailed information. Has anyone found an online source for this type of technical information for our Astoria's

Britcanuck.....Manual Possibility 2010 Astoria

I have had great response from this email for my 2006 Damon.Astoria
warrantysupport@tmcrv.com
Usually a 4 or 5 days response.
And have sent several manuals I also did not have.
But do explain it is not a Warranty Issue.

Shower issue 2011 Astoria 40kt

Have any 2011 Astoria 40kt owners replaced the shower.? ??? Our shower has been pain the a $$ since we bought this mh, has been re -sealed and reinforced at factory and still has movement in the floor and seals won't hold because of the flimsy walls and floor. Any ideas how to solve this are welcome.

TV antenna

In our 2012 Astoria I have had no success getting our Antenna to work. It was even replaced and I still can't get it to pick up even 1 channel. I must be missing something OE on my part.. I'm usually pretty good with electronics. It is a Sure Lock jack. And the home theatre system original with motorhome? Anyone else encounter a problem? Or suggestions?

I found with my 2010 that the coaxial wiring was miswired in several locations. Do you have a Coax Cable Continuity Tester. They are about 10 bucks and you will need to go on the roof but at least you will know which end is which. If your video distribution unit is an older mechanical unit you may want to consider switching it out for an electronic one. It's also necessary to get your TV to do a proper channel scan before you search for channels to watch. As you are knowledgeable with electronics you have probably tried your channel search with antenna in different positions. I always have a look at coaches near me and see which way they have their antennas pointed. If you have a newer video distribution unit they quite often have a power button which boosts the signal once you have a readable one . This is a very frustrating situation when all you want to do at the end of the day is watch a bit of TV.
Good Luck

TV Antenna

Thanks, Brit! I will check that out. Will be getting continuity tester. I have probably ran 100 scans on that thing. Funny thing, I seem to recall it working in the service bay at the dealer.

Just purchased a full set of Michelin XZA2s that will be installed on Monday or Tuesday. I went up to load range J in hopes of being able to them a little softer to improve the ride. I will let you know my thoughts after our drive to Atlanta on July 17. Also, I am trying to add Bilsteins all the way around but they are on back order.
