Our first MH was a 2000 Damon Intruder 359 with the Ford V-10. Owned it for 10 years and it was never back to the dealer from the day we pulled it off the lot. Loved it !! We traded it for a 2011 Thor Motor Coach (Damon)Tuscany 42RQ, bath and half. We have not had any major problems with it in 19,000 miles. Attended the Thor Diesel Club Rally in Goshen this year and saw the new Tuscany 45MT and just had to have it. Made the deal and will pick it up in Jan., we hope. Been to the factory twice so far to look at things before ordering ours. They have treated us like family at the factory. Rattled enough, Just love Thor products and service.

Our Intruder
We bought our 2002 Intruder in Florida last February. We just got home from a 4800 mile trip out west through Mt. Rushmore, Salt Lake City, Reno, Fresno, San Diego and back across the south. Just missed all the snow in Wyoming!
We had a couple of issues on the trip. Very strong winds (55+) caught our big slide awning and pulled the screws out of the brackets. Caught it just in time. We now use zip ties to hold everything in place while traveling. A little bit of a pain, but peace of mind.
The other issue was just 280 miles from home! Our coach has hoses that run the coolant/radiator fluids all the way back to the water heater so that we have hot water all of the time. One of the hoses split, causing the radiator to overheat. Our Good Sam road service paid off for a tow to Wheelen's RV in Joplin. They spent the next day getting the $3.00 part to fix it and we were back on the road in 24 hours.
Overall a great trip and we saw a lot of the USA!

Your new coach is very nice. We would like to trade ours in the future and I am hesitant as we have done some modifications to fit our needs. Not that our coach has given us any problems Bill keeps it running great with regular maintenance. Thor products are our first choice as well.

We must have passed each other along the way. We workcamped in Rapid City this summer and were there for the Sturgis Rally. Almost each afternoon we experienced some rain and along with that hail. Those south of us, in Hill City and Hot Springs, had some rough hail storms, doing alot of damage to vehicles. We almost lost our awning in Congress when a dust storm came through but we made it through the hail storms ok. We left the area just two weeks before their first snow storm. The only problem we've had, besides having to get new tires, was some smoke or steam coming up 17 in AZ into Flagstaff to connect with 40. The exhaust crossover seemed to be part of the culprit, the other part is that we left too late in the day. This was the end of June. That part was our fault. Oh well, live and learn.

Have a Damon 1996 Intruder. Drove it up the Alcan and from Anchorage to Kenai, to Fairbanks, McCarthy, Valdez and many short trips around the Mat-Su Valley. We love it! Added solar last year.

Ford Recall
We just got a recall notice from Ford for our motorhome. We have a 2002 Damon Intruder with a Ford V-10 engine. Has anyone else got one? It is for the Speed Control Deactivation Switch Fire.

2005 Intruder 377W.. Purchased new, Bath and a half model (not as important now as it was then) love it. Nice house and all the problems so far have been routine save for one and it was easily fixed. (Air conditioner, bad workmanship killed one of my Carrier Air V's. I fixed the other one)

I am the proud owner of a Damon Intruder 37.5 with the Ford V10 with the banks exhaust and intake. It runs like a dream and we have had no problems. I thought I had a problem with power from a camp site but the50 amp circuit was down. Make sure you test the power before you plug in.

3 300watt solar panels, 1750 inverter, sun saver duo charge controler and 6 6v batteries at 235 ah each for a total of 705 amp hours. Had to fab a new frame for holding 3 of the batteries.

Hi Loretta, We also have an 02 375 and put in laminate floors and tore out the media center. I replaced it with a fireplace with the tv above. We also upgraded the entire suspension with an aux rear stabilizer, Koni shocks, and Safe-T-Plus steering stabilizer. It now drives like a charm and my next project is the exterior graphics.
