Outlaw with bedroom loft: AC cooling question

Exploring older Outlaws...

I'm wondering how effective the AC is in the bedroom loft area in warmer climates.

And how have you made making the bed simpler?

Thanks.

Full time dreamin' old guy.

Yes, my 2008 OTL has the loft bedroom. It has two A/C vents up there that deliver cool air. One thing that I did was block the ducts from the loft from continuing to the garage. This increased the airflow for the loft. The loft cooling is quite adequate. I never have anyone sleep in the garage, so why would I want to send cool air to it?! The garage also has a heater duct running to it, which I disconnected at the source.

I think the sleeping loft is one of the best features of the OTL. One helpful thing I did was buy a memory foam mattress from Ikea that is not tall. It is a little bit of a chore to change the bedding, but I consider it a worthwhile and slight inconvenience.

Thanks! Being in AZ you would know about heat. But at least it's dry heat. I'm in Florida. We have wet heat. (That emoji is not "mad", it's "hot and sticky.")

Do folks that have a unit similar to yours use air mattresses, like Sleep Comfort, in the loft? I wonder how those work out. I have one at home which makes it must easier lifting the corners to tuck the sheets, etc.

And as an aside, do you fit all your signature "stuff" in the Outlaw at the same time, or do they take turns?

And I love your "cliff dweller" photo in your public info page. Did you use a drone or did someone walk down there for the pix?

I don't know about the air bed, but my memory foam mattress is not very rigid, so the corners are easy to lift for tucking.

Yes, usually just one toy at a time. For that cliff camping photo I just drove my Rzr down there to get the shot. I have sent you a private message
