Rear compartment dr
Hi i have a 1997 Damon Intruder,Im missing the rear compartment springs to lift the dr.This is at the rear of the MH,Thanks for any help .

Are they springs or pistons? I have a Daybreak and mine use the pistons like on a car hatchback. If that be the case you can buy these at any auto store. just need the size. I would think they would be hydraulic pistons. Just a guess, hope this helps. Have never seen springs used to hold a door up. They are not very big. If I remember right, they are the same size as the ones to lift and hold the bed storage door in place.

hawkeye ,they seem to be springs ,the dr comes out then up .Im not 100 % how they work .I was hopeing someone with a 97 Damon would have the same .

My 1997 Intruder has the piston type. not sure of the size.

Could you post photo of door area with someone holding door in the open position, and of any mounting hardware still attached to the door and/or the opening it is hinged too?

I will be going to the storage lot in the next day or two and will check and see what tpye my Intruder has on the rear cap door and let you know.

My 2005 has standard air springs.. Post a photo of the door, In fact post 3

If it is standard air shocks like on mine any decent RV store will have 'em, many auto parts, Camping world,, Lots of options.
