Replacement/upgrade for back up camera?
Hi, folks. Our 2006 Daybreak needs a new backup camera system. Any suggestions on what to replace it with. Maybe something out there that can use existing wiring and/brackets.
TIA

Let me know what you do, I've been thinking about replacing mine as well, but not sure what to get. I have the original, and would like one that fits in the existing hole in the dash.

I ordered a package from rvcams.com that is supposedly a plug and play replacement for the ADTH unit in my Daybreak. The monitor is a 7” and I have a 5” version, but they didn’t offer a direct replacement for the smaller one, so I plan to fabricate a mounting for the new screen. Looking forward to the color.

Installed the replacement cam and monitor from RV cams.com for the ADTH 7” model and it was a simple plug and play operation. I replaced a 5” ADTH UNIT, and simply velcroed the new flat monitor over the old smaller hole in the instrument panel. The camera is a little smaller also, so removed the old bracket and camera and mounted the new bracket and camera in the same spot using the same old self-tapping screws. Nice to have color!

Scottwig, I also replaced our ADTH 7 inch monitor a couple of years ago. I'm just curious if your sound still works as your original did. My sound is totally unusable, but the monitor works excellent. And it was plug and play, although as others have noted the size is a bit smaller. I actually liked the ADTH even though it was B&W, but it seemed to be a more clear picture as well as the sound relaying even a normal talking voice very clearly.

Sound seems to work but the volume control is less convenient than the old thumbwheel control. Haven't used it much since the install but we'll be travelling with it next week so may have an update then.
