Roof Framing
I am looking for a roof framing diagram for my RV. It is a 2007 Damon Outlaw 3611. I am wanting to install some solar panels and want to be able to anchor them to the roof framing. I am not convinced that things are 16" on center.
If someone has a diagram with the layout and sizes that would be really helpful.
Thanks.

Hi Grabcon. A couple of years ago I had an escape hatch installed over my loft to make it easy to access the roof. I used a stud-finder on the roof that would detect metal. The roof area I was interested in had a spacing of 26" between studs. I don't know how uniform that is over the entire roof. Here is my post from that, you can see in the photo that I designated the area with red tape where I wanted the hole.

JeffAZ Thanks. I have used a metal stud finder and I found that the framing that comes from the fan vent over the bed are about 15" on center and they seem to be about 4" wide, then moving forward I found another I think that is in the 26" range. It was way to hot today to spend any time on the roof. Wednesday will be my next available day to go up when it is cool.
Are you still in central AZ? I currently am located in Hereford, AZ at a Forest Service location as a site host.

Wow, that is southern AZ. Are there many visitors at that site in the summer?

We are at about 5600 feet so the temps are cooler than Tucson, Sierra vista or Hereford. We are at a place call Carr House. We had about 80 people over the last weekend. Carr House is located in the Huachuca Mountain. It is very nice here

Climb up there first thing in the morning. You may just find that the morning dew will show you exactly where the trusses are.

The dew point here is not really conducive to leaving dew on anything in the morning. But thanks for the idea.

I called Thor support and they emailed the pdf dwg. But, the way I ultimately found them was with a 1/8” drill bit. I made sure, or tried to be sure my mounting plates would cover the extra holes, yes, I used Dicor to seal them before I covered them. They were not evenly spaced.

Why, just why would they evenly space something that is crucial to the structure? It doesn't surprise me. My last Class C also didn't have even spacing.
So if someone out there needs to put a new roof on please make an accurate diagram of the roof supports.
