Strange roof top item Daybreak

I have two of these on my roof. 2006 Daybreak. On the roof layout there is one at 1:00 o'clock and one at 7: o'clock --from the SAT dish. The SAT system is a SHAW. Which comes down this week and is replaced with a new DISH system. The Shaw was installed by the previous owner, in Canada. The instructions inside the opening clearly states what is inside. BUT they still run the SAT cables on top of the roof to the front of the coach. Has anyone run their cables thru one of these openings? Also are there cables under the seal? The only cables I have in the front of the coach are the ones running across the "top" of the roof. So if there is cables under the seal as stated I don't know where they come out at. If the opening at 7:00 o'clock was above the rear TV (which is on the other side) that would have been nice. Any info on these opening would be helpful for my up coming install. By the way if you are going to open one of these covers don't follow their cover instructions. UNTIL after you have removed the screw that is under a spot of sealer. Now have to find a replacement cover & a buyer for the SHAW.

This (the vent cap looking thing) is part of Damon's SAT prep option. There is a cable under the roofing material for the SAT installer to use.

I have a Winegard crank-up installed by a dealer for the original owner, but they too, ran the dish wires down through the top seam of the front cap. I believe that the installers don't want to cut the roofing and prefer to use the existing seam at the front cap.

The extra coax wire in my RV ends in the SAT cabinet.

Have the same thing on my unit. Haven't openned yet but they probably run to the cabinet over my drivers seat since there are jacks in that cabinet and a 120VAC receptacle. JM2¢...

correct! they use a sewer vent cover to simply cover the hole. it is where Thor hides the satellite antenna wiring. once you mount an antenna, the cover is discarded and the hole is sealed. exactly what was on my 2012 Daybreak with the factory sat wiring.
