Yes...that one picture not in the desert is Orange Grove RV Park in Bakersfield.
They allow you to pick one bag of oranges when you stay for a night. (It used to be as many as you wanted-but this year they made sure they told everyone that they could pick one bag only.)

That is normally our first night stop over on our way East from our home in Gilroy, and the last night stay before getting back home. Their oranges are good. Last year we arrive just after the harvest and they gave us a five pound bag of oranges. Down the road, around the corner there is a wonderful fruit stand/processing plant. They normally get about a hundred bucks from us on every stop!.

Looking forward to you next posting.

UltraPower Installed

This last week we visited Redlands Truck & RV Service to have some work done.
One of the first things on the list was the UltraPower package installed.

Here is Josh installing the new plugs.

Thank you for such entertainment and work, Josh!

Bedroom Light Fixture

I have finally ordered a set of light fixtures that will be on each side of the bed.

It will be nice to have a reading light that are controlled by their own switch on each side of the bed!

Flooring

We received a parcel today. (I love getting deliveries. ) It was our flooring that we will be install this spring.

Here is a photo of a few pieces laid out next to each other. (You can see the edges because we will not lock them into place until they are permanently placed.)

(We do know to stagger the flooring when it is installed.)

Another Project-Dumping Tanks

We had the Sani-Con on a previous rig and I had no problems dumping the tanks with it-so it was put on our "Must-Have" list.

Guess what was delivered today!
(I consider this a "must-have" if the DH wants the DW to dump tanks! -You can find more info on the blog )

I see a lot of folks use the Sani-Con system. I am not familiar with it. What is the advantages of using one?

charliej-it is a much cleaner way to dump your tanks- plus it will pump the sewage uphill if needed.
I know we aren't supposed to copy and paste on the forum so I am providing a link here that helps explain the system the best.

You are welcome. You can see by the pictures in the link that the hose size takes up much less space than the standard sewer hose. There is a cap on the end so you don't have to worry about left over liquid dripping out. It also macerates the contents as it is pumping it out.
We think it is a much more sanitary unit overall!
