Good News - Bad News

I came home tonight from work and I was given the "Good News-Bad News" scenario.

The Good News - "Dear- the transfer switch has been replaced and has not shut off for two days".

The Bad News- "Honey-the Sani-Con has been dissected, but it will be put back together again soon"

Hey- at least it is news!

-And yet another project has begun.
We plan to remove the old bathroom faucet that is in the back left corner.

We have started the Sani-Con install -

It isn't how we wanted to install it-but it will work!

Nice, That looks like Ron's work, well done. The only thing I would change is that 3" rubber hose that will smell in a couple of months. Very nice. People don't know what there missing without one.

Doghouse Insulation

This week DH decided to add a sound & heat insulation backing to the doghouse.

He purchased some CSI Heat & Sound Insulation and attached it with a high temp spray-on glue. He then also put the old insulation back over the new pad.

You will find more photos at my blog (including a photo of the difference in the thickness of the two backings.)

Front Chairs

We ordered our front two chairs this AM. Here is a photo of the style that we chose- but the color is different.

I guess we need to work on the flooring while we wait for the chairs to come in!

More Chair Info

We actually ordered the Captain's chairs from Bradd & Hall. They have been courteous and professional each time I have talked to them. Their pricing is consistently the best each time I have checked.

Here is a color swatch of the choice that we went with- (it is on top of the flooring that we will use.)

Front Cabin Area- Doghouse Latches

We are looking at everything in the front area of the RV that needs to be replaced before we add the new seats.
One of the things is to replace the doghouse latches. It has some old fashioned rubber latches. (You can see them on my blog at this post). We are going to replace them with the butterfly latches as seen below.

I will have no more scraped shins soon!

Who really needs a Showehead anyway??

We removed a showerhead yesterday-okay- maybe not the real shower - but we did remove a shower head.

We now have room to hold wet-bay supplies easily in the open area.

You can find more photos of this project on the blog.

In my 1999 brochure this is listed as an option...we don't have it.

Dwhit - my DH looked at the brochure and you are correct, that showerhead was an option.

I feel bad being so wasteful of something that was extra money. You are welcome to it if you want it- and I won't even charge you reatail pricing on it!

HA! Thanks but...don't need it.

I've been busy painting and I keep forgetting to check the rating on the hitch that came with the DayBreak. We tow an aluminum enclosed trailer w/two mtcyls, or a dolly with a 3500lb Mercury Mariner on it. No issues. I'll get under there tomorrow and do a check.

This little thing has brought me great pleasure!

I now have a macerating dump system up and running!
