Sani-Con Hose Replacement

One of the members here (Drifter) suggested that we exchange out the standard Sani-Con hose with one that is of much better quality.

We made that swap today - it was easy since we already had the hose waiting to be installed,

There are more pics and a tip or two on the blog.

Cabin Color Scheme

We decided to look at carpeting today since we have ordered the cabin chairs. Here is a photo that gives you an idea-

The carpet swatch shown in the picture below seems to have a purple hue to it in my lighting.

You can find a more accurate carpet color on the blog.

We have started the front cabin remodel which first includes removal of the carpet.
Here is a photo of what we are starting with-

-and here is a photo of the work in progress.

Why is it that there will always be a surprise waiting for you?
In this case it was discovered when we removed the passenger seat in the cabin-

We think we will replace it with formica. You can find a bit more info on the blog.

Aw, man! Sorry you discovered another "project." I think the formica you chose is a great match, though.

Thank You, Sarah- I was very surprised when I got home with the chip and saw how well it matched.

I am sure most of you here on the Forum are trying to figure out what SarahW is talking about- She went to my blog today after I posted another update. (I did not have time to post an update here until tonight-but she found the post early!) There are some photos of the formica we plan to use.
Here is one of the photos:

There are a couple more photos-including the one where I "erased" the ragged edge separating the two pieces on my blog.

Glare

DH and I noticed how bad the sun glare problem was on the TV this past week.

It looks like the window awning for the driver side of the coach will serve a dual purpose- for the glare and for the heat!

-and yes- we still have to put the vent cover on the roof so that the vent glare is not like it is now!

The FORMICA brand laminate sheet has been ordered. It is funny- I picked up the sample at Home Depot but I had to order the sheet from Lowe's. Home Depot will sell you the countertop yet the laminate sheets are Wilsonart brand.

I went with Lowe's because they are supposed to have it here faster and I don't have to pay for shipping

The match to our wall is the Formica Brand Lime Stone Matte Laminate.
I will keep you updated as the project progresses.

Driver Seat Removal

Believe it or not-
You have to go under the rig in order to remove the driver chair - and this is the reason why:

I can promise you that you will need Herculean strength to remove it!

There are more pics on the blog.

rubber seal

We found a problem with the storage bay rubber seal when we were working in the wet bay.

We finally found a place to get the right seal- although they definitely are not into Customer Service. The seal will be here on Tuesday.
