Steve- This link will take you pictures of the battery box

and this link will take you to the upgraded battery box.

You should not have to pull up the treads- one of them should have a piano hinge so that the top will lift back.

Great thread for me. Just bought a 2000 Daybreak with single slide out, dinette and sleeper sofa on slide. Jackknife opposite. Has less than 18000 miles. It has been in hibernation for a long time. I am waking it up now. Have many projects ahead and I will be rereading your thread and blog many times in the future.

The heart of the RV industry is less than a 3 hour drive and I expect to make a few there soon.

Waking up from long hibernation

DD, thanks for the warm welcome. I'm sure I will be contacting you for some where did you get and how do you do it information.

The games began 3 blocks into the trip home. The brakes locked up 3 times before getting it home. The rotors had rusted while in outside storage. And so the games began. Now headed for inside storage until spring. HOA is giving me grief and I am finding water damage, similar to what you found in your cab area.

May start a thread, but it would be much the same as yours and I could not equal what you have already done.

Cabinet Pulls

We are switching out the cabinet and drawer handles with new ones.

You can see new handles on the left and the old ones on the right ...

a couple of questions, what was your source for the LED tail lights and what did you use to darken the color of your cabinets?

The tail lights were purchased from Trailerpartssuperstore.com. (You can find the list of the suppliers we used at this link.)

We haven't darkened the cabinets- it is probably just the lighting in the picture.

Thank you for tail light info. I think it is a great improvement from a safety standpoint and also looks cool. You would thing that anything as big is these beasts could be seen, but I want all the margin I can get. FWW my replacement headlight bodies arrived from Amazon today. I will be upgrading the bulbs. Plan to add some driving lights low under the front bumper. Don't plan a lot of night driving but you never know.

My cabinets are the everywhere present sort of light oak and I like the illusion of the darker wood.

Keep the ideas rolling.

We are removing this light fixture ...

...and replacing it with a more modern fixture. I will post a photo once it is up- or you can go here to see a sneak peek!
