Upgrade fail
Maybe we got the one batch of bad lens covers-BUT I will never recommend the outdoor motion detected Starlight 1000 light fixture.
We have had the light turned off for over 90% of the installed fixture time- and here is how the lett lens looks now-
The right fixture cover is about the same...it just has not crumbled in our hads.

The first light I had from this maker would not work on the motion sensor. It only worked on or off. I emailed them and after working thru some of their tests, they sent me a new one. It works. But when on the motion sensor mode, it has a flashing light indicating it is on. This flashing light if way too bright, it looks like a lighthouse light at night. In a campground in Durango Colorado, a camping neighbor asked me to turn off the light because this flashing light was bothering them all night though I would say it would work fine if you have no neighbors. And If yuu have a problem with your light, email them and see if they will make it right.

We had the same thing happen with our Starlight 1000. After only 5 years, those plastic covers just disintegrated into dust at the slightest touch. Bought this one, Motion Guard, this year. The LED is MUCH bigger & brighter & the quality appears better than the Starlight. Plus it cost half the price the Starlight LED did 5 years ago - but then pricing on LED lights has come down significantly since then.

While QZ, go to big tent to the booth where these are sold. They will give you replacement lenses for the sensors. If they are not there this year, I know someone that has two spares.

Here is a photo of the upgraded lathes next to the older latches-

More Brushed Nickel
We are changing many fixtures over to the brushed nickel finish. Here is one more:
You can look at the blog here to see what we replaced.

Looks nice! I too need to replace all the knobs and light fixtures like you have. Where did you find the one for the bath? Does just standard size like at HD work? I have a sliding door for the bed room, that may be a problem to find for replacement.

Charlie- We found the knob at Mobilehomepartsstore.com ...the door hinges are also NOT found at Home Depot.
I will find out where we got the hinges from when DH is awake...but I do know that the hinges at HD did not work. FYI - The link above has some that match the ones we got.
(You can also find a list of most of the parts suppliers that we used at this link. (It is on my blog.)

Another Present
Mrs. Santa found this for my DH -

It is a drilling jig which makes it easier to install drawer handles.
I think I will enjoy this new tool!
There are more photos on the blog.
