DH is working hard on getting my birthday present done by his birthday.

The back splash is now up-

The range hood should go in next...along with a light above the kitchen counter.

The Range Hood is now complete...

I have a real light over the stove AND a fan that has 3 different speeds that I can still hear a conversation when it is on!

Was the vent opening already in the wall or did you create it? We have a microwave over the range that vents only in....not a good setup.

Steve- we were lucky enough that the vent was already there. Our luck doubled when we found that the original cut out lined up exactly with the new range hood vent.

I have put up a slideshow of the kitchen from the beginning to end on the blog here..

DH looked at it and commented- "it sure was ugly...wasn't it?" (He is right. I think he is surprised at how good it looks!)

You guys are amazing. Sold our Damon over a year ago but I still follow you and your fantastic project. Just wish we were neighbors so we could run an idea factory over adult beverages. Don't remember you mentioning - is full time in the future? Keep up the great work and more importantly - ENJOY IT!

kustom-There are key words (tags) going down the right side of the blog. You will actually get all the info on the fridge when you click the word "refrigerator". Here is the link for that search- and you will find the dimensions and model number at the very bottom of that search!
We love the fridge. We had an older model Norcold. We did have to take part of the bottom cabinet to make it fit- but I do believe that the width and depth were perfect!

Thank you ctpres - I have a few more years before retirement

but DH would FT in a heartbeat. I told him I could do extended long trips...but you know how Grandmamas can be!
