Windshield Covering

I had no idea how much I disliked the green curtains until I realized I had no photos without the full set of curtains across the windshield-

-and here is the new set ( please excuse the wrinkles-they need to "settle"!)

Short Shopping List-

Can I ask someone to pick up a few things for me tomorrow at the local RV store?
Here is my shopping list:
9-RECMAR 4121 I Beam Nylon Wheel Carriers
2-RECMAR 4124 I Beam Wall Bracket
2-RECMAR 4134 End Stop
1-RECMAR 4108 Bendable I Beam Track

Any guesses what this project is for?

Stove Vent Cover Replacement

Our Damon came with an outside Stove Vent Cover that looked like this-

-We replaced it with this one:

You can see that the flap will lock down in place when we are on the road so we won't have that irritating flapping noise.

Refrigerator Electrical Continues

We are preparing to put the new fridge in it's permanent location-but this requires some re-wiring so it will run off of the inverter.
Here is a photo of some of the new electrical that has been added so that it will run from the inverter.

The top plug has be converted to run from the inverter. The bottom plug has been added to give us a "general purpose" outlet if we ever need it.

Backup Camera Has Been Shipped

Yes- we have ordered a backup camera for the coach!

It has been such a great experience to deal with the fellows at RVCams.com so far.

It took less than five minutes to place the order and get a UPS confirmation number!
Thank you Tim & Chuck for such a great experience!

Propane Tank & See-Level

We did get the Propane Tank and the See-Level connected.
We can now see that we do have a full tank of propane!

New Window Covering!

-Today we were able to install the Window Covering at the passenger side window behind the "cab"
This is the window that is directly behind the television that is on the lift -

(The TV and electronic components are still not in the cabinet-but you can see the overall area in the above photo.)

Battery Bank Expansion

Another project coming up will be expanding the battery bank- this will require a welder - or my husband getting a small welder so he can do the job himself!-

It will need to be widened out so we can use 4 house batteries.

Did you guys have a budget in mind when you started, or kept a running tab? It would be interesting for anyone wanting to take on a large project like this.

My budget and my dear husband's budget has not been the same from the start of the project. I think we will be close to the $10,000 mark once we are done. ( I think this number would be much higher if we weren't doing most everything ourselves...okay maybe I should really say DH is doing most everything )
I have kept the receipts to everything and will add them up once we are done.

$10,000, that's not too bad, should be well worth it. Plus I would thing your DH enjoys the re-mod otherwise he would not be doing it.

...or he loves his DW!

I spent part of my free time today searching for and downloading some "Owners Manuals" so that we have access to everything in the form of a PDF.

Today was the first time I actually paid attention to the "Damon Class A Motorhome Owner's Manual" It lists the Challenger-Ultrasport-Intruder and Daybreak models on the front page, so it is a "something for everyone" manual. It is a copy - as in 37 pages of poor quality copies from a copy machine. It is stapled in the top left corner - otherwise it would be a bunch of loose pages. I also noted that it's print date is 07/95. Let me no remind you that our rig is a 1999!
I have scanned in this outdated "booklet" so that it is also in PDF form.

(Let me know if anyone wants a copy- you will have to send me your regular email through a PM though.)
