Water pump question for Damon Challengeer

We have a new to us 2010 Damon Challenger 36 footer with the bath and a half. Ive been messing around with the rig today and cant get the water pump to work. It turns on and when I open a faucet air comes out, when the air is purged from the faucet no water is coming out. Is there a valve that needs to be turned on by the pump itself? If so I cant seem to find it. Ive been looking for over an hour now at the pump and everywhere else and cant seem to find it.

If you are not connected to water, it sounds like your fresh water tank is empty.
