15 Outlaw 38RE Switch Theater Seating instead of Couch

First post and of course it's a question. Has anyone switched out the couch in the 2015 38RE with the theater seats that come in the. 38RF? Or any other suggestions for something that reclines?

Thanks for any info, Bonz.

The 38RE is only a 1 year old model. The 38RF is a new model.
It's so new that there are no RF owners here (yet), but there are several RE owners...don't think anyone has swapped furniture.

Being SO big, you might want to reach out to the owners through PM or post in our Mega Thread...here:

Best luck

I thought the RE had an option for either one.

Nope... theater seats are one of the options for the RF only:
https://thormotorcoach.com/outlaw/class-a/features/

The space is 56" wide (sleeper sofa) in the RE and 60" in the RF (theater seats or sleeper sofa), so an exact swap probably would not work.

Safe travels

Theater seating for couch 38RE

Thanks guys for the quick response.

Bonzo guess it's too soon and no direct replacement fit. Oh well.

Just because the factory's theater seats don't fit doesn't mean it's a no-go.
Two individual recliners would fit perfectly (and less expensive with more selection in recliners).

We need our sleeper/sofa but the standard furniture from the factory can be removed and replaced by an owner...not hard to do and doesn't look bad since the flooring and wall treatments do not stop under the sofa.

Best luck

We figured it out and are right in the middle of having theater seating installed. The couch sleeper is out and the new seats are in the coach positioned but we need a bit of carpentry work to make sure we don't hit any of the wiring that was run under the original couch. We picked the seating up at Rooms to Go for just under $800 out the door, and about $500 for complete install. Pic will be coming shortly.
