2007 Thor Sonoma TT Owner

I just purchased a used 22' Thor Ind. Sonoma TT for summer trips to the lake and visiting children and grandchildren. The unit appears to be in good condition and has the floor plan we wanted. I know it is an orphan as it was only built for a couple years. I would appreciate any input of current or past owners of the Sonoma (good & bad). I will have the solar system installed in a couple weeks and will then be able to dry camp on weekends. After progressing from a simple tarp and sleeping bag to a diesel pusher I am looking forward to the simplicity of a pickup and small travel trailer. Still have a couple years left of enjoying the outdoors.

Took Possession!

It is now mine and I am happy. The dealer did a great job of going over the Sonoma and put it in like new condition. The only negative is that the original owner did not provide the manuals and information that came with the Sonoma. I will have to depend on the internet for that. The unit seems to tow very easy and we look forward to the summer.

Feeling Good!

The Sonoma is better than I expected in many ways. The good news is that it is a 2008 instead of a 2007. As near as I can tell the Sonoma was only made in 2008. Will be putting solar on the roof in a week and the unit will be ready for the outdoors.

2008 Sonoma Update!

I now have the Sonoma gone through and everything has checked out ok. The solar panels are installed, the flat panel TV is mounted, the voltage inverter is installed , the water system and hot water heater is all checked and no leaks, the stabilizer jacks are all oiled and work well, the electric tongue jack is lubed and like new, the cover is installed over the new Fantastic vent fan, the equalizer hitch is all adjusted and ready to go, the TV antenna is lubricated, the antenna amplifier is re-located, the satellite and cable TV connections are now available and we are ready to start packing for the trip back to NE. The trip back to NE will cover around 1500 miles and several stops to see friends and family. After a couple weeks opening up the house it will be time to head for the lake and some fishing. I will report back to let you know how the orphan Sonoma is working out.
