2011 Tuscany - Chassis Battery Charging Question

I am new to my coach and RV'ing. I have a 2011 42 Tuscany and I have new batteries. For some reason I am getting a low voltage reading on my dash and my jacks would not extend. My question is... does shore power charge my chassis batteries or only the engine. I have something going on and I am not sure what is up.

In a 2011, the house system should also maintain the chassis battery.

First test is to see if the boost switch is working.

While on shore power, push and hold the boost switch and see if the chassis battery volts come up to the house volts.

If the volts don't come up, that solenoid, which is the same one that maintains the house battery, is most likely bad. The internal contacts go bad and It doesn't pass current.

If the boost switch works, then you want to check the house battery voltage. It must be more then 13.4 volts while on shore power.

Do some testing and get back to us.

Holly crap this is great. Let check this out. Thanks so much. I have never seen a boost switch so I got to find that. I never saw it on my panels.

Some coaches want you to be plugged into shore power or run the generator while leveling and extending slides. You may get low voltage even though they are charged, because of the load when you level just on battery.
