2017 KZ Connect 312BHK

Hi - looking for a sanity check on a few things we are experiencing with our new Connect 312BHK...

We purchased this unit brand new in April and have just had it out for the 2nd time and are experiencing some concerning issues with the unit. First, the corner fascia caps on both slide have bowed out and broken the caulking/Sealant. All gaskets around the outdoor kitchen and both front compartments were not installed correctly, stuck to the doors and ripped. The trim that secures fiberglass front cap had 2 screws strip where it makes contact with the roof. The black sealant were it connects had a gap where water may have gotten in. Today we noticed a tear in the vinyl flooring that outlines the curvature of the front slide by the couch. Lastly, some of the screw fasteners on the outdoor kitchen molding heads broke off...

We went into this new unit expecting some issues, but nothing like this after 2 uses. Is this normal and to be expected, or does this seem like a bit more than others have experienced? Im speaking with the dealer tomorrow, just wanted a bit of feedback.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated

Mike

From everything I've learned this type of thing is not that uncommon. The worst part is in most States there's not much consumer protection for RV owners. From my experience it usually comes down to how reputable the dealer you purchased from is. Sounds like you have quite a few issues more than normal though. Being brand new the dealer should take care of you if they're any good. Take a look at the YouTube video titled don't buy an RV, it's done tongue and cheek by an RV attorney, scary.

I've been there done that with my little Thor Wanderer. I'm doing me trailers now, hope to get one next spring and I will only consider these three brands, Northwood, Outdoor RV and Lance, with all the others it's a crap shoot, some fine some not so much.
