I did a tank flush in the fall, pulled the 3" hose off the macerator and power washed the tank from the top down, just to make sure it was clean. I have a couple handles for my power washer, one of them I bent the end in a 90 to get the sides, worked bitchin. I rented one of those scope style cameras to look inside to make sure it was clean and I didn't have anything like plastic shreds still inside. Probably a little overboard, but I fell better now. I did get something stuck in my macerator blades the 1st year I had it, I remember having to pull the 3" hose off, and the dookie all over the ground (from what was in the 2' of hose), pulling the macerator and fixing it while camping. Party!
I don't expect problems going forward, but I do have a spare macerator in the rig if needed. The rebuild kits of these is about $67.00 on Amazon, gives you all the gaskets and new rubber impellor.
