Do you need to paint it?
Does it look the same with just the vents louvers reversed?

No paint it already matches the side wall, only exception if you you have full body paint.
Mine is now missing the small piece of white graphic but I don't really care.
Just ask for replacement graphic if you talk to Thor if you want to match exactly.
There are no louvers on the new one and they send you a new heater exhaust.
You will also have to replace the rim that holds the door due to the new door has six screws ilo four, they also give you this.

Is the new vent kit an easy install?

Wasn't hard 1 hour total.( I took my time)
You will have to unscrew the heater from the trim ring and slide it back.
I installed the new trim ring first then the heater to it .(New trim ring has 6 screw holes old one had four....thats reason you need to put the new trim ring on.)
When I reinstalled the heater to the new trim ring I needed help from DW.

Added a nice amount of RV geo-cel around the frame (just make sure it not to hot out or the stuff will dry to quick and you will not be able to smooth it out) and reinstalled with larger head screws (two of the old trim ring holes were broke).

Thought about the same thing.
Hot,cold and power would just run from the kitchen sink and hot water heater.
The drain to me would be the issue. it would be hard to get the slope and connecting it to the snake under the kitchen.

Maybe the drain could run out the floor or sidewall of the slide to the sewer compartment via a hose that can be disconnected at each end? Finding suitable fittings might be an issue. Maybe there is a way to make a "y" connection for your black water drain hose and make the connection external to the RV. I'm guessing the washer would be used only when hooked up at a campground.

Power to run a stack unit may be a challenge also. The combo recommended at the above site uses 11 amps @120 volts

I just e-mailed thor warranty and am waiting for a reply.
see attached pic
I noticed this after buying ours and didn't think to much about it then. If I kept my rig outside I would definitely be concerned. I have been looking for some type of plastic or aluminum awning so to speak to put over it. If anyone comes up with something let me know!

PS: I just sent a request for the cover.

I don't think there is enough room to fit it in. We had one we moved from a motorhome to our 5th wheel before selling it and they are really heavy and bulky. Take some measurements but I don't think the closet is deep enough.
