3. If so, what should I do first. I found trying to see the jacks buttons almost impossible at night without a flashlight so I will need to add some type of lighting up there.
Any recommendations for a new owner?

No screen on rear window, maybe because it is emergency egress?
Have done a bunch of modifications.
Things I would check first:
1. Tire pressures
2. Battery water levels
3. Fluid levels engine, transmission, generator.
4. Organize and review all manuals. Not much fun but you can learn a lot.
Getting dump hoses, water hoses, pressure regulator, and electric cords probably next thing. Nitrile gloves are a good idea to have, cheap at Harbor Freight.
For me, handling was one of the first things worked on. Lighting was close to second. Installing dog crate probably third. Priorities are probably different with each person.
Most important thing is to use it! You will quickly develop your own priority list I am sure.
I installed reading lights in shelf that runs around overhead bunk. One each side.

Some have put overhead lights in cab area. I think Knightab used LED or fluorescent fixture there. See his post here:

Jacks
Has anyone used their jacks to raise the tire off the ground to put on these balancers? I have the air guns and everything I need just no way of getting the tire off the ground.

Yes I did, but to be safe and not bend the jacks, put the jacks on the opposite side down till they at least touch the ground. If you dont and start using the jacks on one side to raise coach the springs will try and absorb as much of the weight as possible and this makes the jacks extend pretty far and put a significant chance of bending them. If you have a floor jack or bottle jack that is a much better way to do it. Then you are lifting the axle, the jacks lift the body until it pulls the axle up. FYI
Considering your issue with no other way, play it safe and put the opposite side jacks down first and just lift enough to get off the ground.

I was told during my PDI that if you use both gas and electric at the same time it will trigger a fault and need to be hooked up to some computer to reset. I don't know how true this is since the CW tech that gave us our PDI didn't know the answers to most of my questions.

Yeah, well, he's a camping world tech sooo.... lol I have never heard such a claim. I have done this for the last 20 years a half dozen different rv's and never had that happen. I would not be concerned .....at all.

What he (Knightab) said.
I used the levelers. used the front two to lift the front and rear two to lift the rear. Raised just enough to be able to spin the wheel, makes it easier to pull off of the lugs and lift back on. I did not get under the body or hub while installing balancers. You never know when something will fail.
If both rears are off the ground and you are parked on an incline, there is not much stopping the RV from moving.

Helloo.
Do any of you wild camp in the wintr with the ace ?
Does winter wildcamping just mean running the genset 24/7 to kepo warm and the tank 110 jackets on.
Theres def exposed unprotected watef pipes down in the belly lockers.
Were in the uk and off grid the prop heater eats the batteries overnite. Gensets are not welcome. And we want to trip to norway.
Mods i thinking.......
A frost heat sytem in the belly locker containg the frey tank.
Swap atwood prop heater for 2 truma. Quiet and efficient
Soundproof genset
How do u all get on ? Any thoughts ?7

My successful upgrades.
So I had a very successful day doing ungrades to my 29.3. I installed the Blue Ox TT2400 TigerTrak, Hard-Wired Electrical Management Systems, installed a map light for the passengers seat, I wired the light for the driver seat but the light they sent was different color than the passenger. I installed an outlet up in the drop down bed area, I sprayed a rubberized undercoating under the unit. I installed a light under the hood. I pulled the radio so I can add front speakers but ran out of time.

Very productive day!
Would have taken me at least a week to do all that, maybe two. Something tells me you are not 67 years old.

Can't help EJ, we don't camp much when below freezing and if we do we stay at campgrounds, plugged in. Most often on our way to Florida or someplace warmer.

RV GPS
What does everyone do for GPS? I have gone in gas restricted tunnels in the past. Did anyone buy an RV specific GPS? Anyone try an app?

Us a Garmin GPS that is permanently mounted overhead in cab. We usually run a phone app at the same time. My wife likes "Waze". It is a community interactive app. It will route you and let you know about road conditions like:
Vehicles broken down ahead
Police vehicles
Construction
Congestion
Debris in road ahead
Free app.
Would like to get an RV specific app or device that routes around low clearance, tunnels, etc. Would be great if it showed camp grounds and overnight parking along the route.
