I had to replace my ptrap on my 30.1 also. I put a piece of clear plexiglass over the access so I can see inside.

Oh yes, I see.

Nifty idea. Easy to inspect.

Just did the same thing, But my piece of plexi is huge because Thor cut two holes one wrong and one right.
Hoping to add a boat access panel for easier access down the road

Quick note on the AC tunnels, the back doesn't appear to be blocked either. I blocked the one on the drivers side and when I pulled the vent on the passenger side of the coach I found they at least bothered to stick a block of foam in that one.

I installed the new control for the AC/heat pump and the new thermostat. Unfortunately they left the heater coil on the truck so hopefully they bring it tomorrow so I can finish up. I guess I am getting old, I really struggled trying to figure the wiring out and it doesn't help the they didn't follow wiring colors from the control box..

1. Low oil cutoff can be very sensitive. If oil is a little low it can shut off gen set while sloshing around when driving.

2. Fuel pump failure is common issue with Onans. Does not seem like it would work while coach is stopped if it is the fuel pump though.

There is an indicator light on the start switch under the removable cover on the gen set. I think this may be the light that blinks an error code if the gen set shuts down. Depending on the number of blinks it can tell you what shut it down. These codes may be in the owners manual, I don't know.

I added a grill to the generator compartment door. It has a rubber boot that presses against the generator body. This "ducts" the intake air from the outside and not the generator compartment. The theory being the outside air is cooler than the compartment air. This air intake not only provides combustion air but also cooling air for the generator.

I have since painted the grill to match the decals and coach wall, so it blends better.
I changed the oil and the last time out I ran the genset while driving and had no issues, I think it was indeed the oil was low.

That's good news. I don't look forward to generator issues. Working on it is not fun with fat fingers.

Speaking of oil changes, I installed a Fumoto drain valve last time I changed the oil. Have not used it yet, but looks promising. Also purchased the drain tube kit. Should make changing the oil cleaner, faster, and easier. A precision, quality machined piece.

PWorked on my front cabinets yesterday and today. Gives us a lot more space. Have to give the doors one more coat but that can wait till this winter. My wife suggested that she would like to paint the center of the inlay part of the door with magnetic paint to put her magnets on she collects when we go places,

Also got up and took the cover off the AC and cleaned the Cooler fins and then insulated that whole box with frost king. 84* out doors and checking the temp right at the AC output by opening one of those sliding vents it was 48*. Ran the Gen for 10 hours today while I worked inside finishing the cabinets and the temp got down to 74 while it was 90 middle of the day in blazing sun. Had the Reflectix in the window to stop the solar heating. Also I closed the bedroom door since I didnt really care if it got cool.
PS: I didnt stain the inside of the doors because stripping the outside was bad enough. I bought a can of paint at Home depot that they matched pretty close a sample of the cabinets so I will paint the inside later. I did paint the shelves and the dividers.

Nice job, would be way more useful for us than the bunk.

Did you glue the insulation to the inside of the AC cover? Sounds like another good idea.

I didnt insulate the cover but the box that pulls the air from inside. Trying to keep the outside from heating that box up. I used that Frost King Insulation wrap. Got it at home depot and came in a 12" wide x 15' roll. It is sticky on one side. Not super sticky but enough to adhere. Then I taped all the edges with aluminum tape. I should have used pipe insulation on the one Freon tube but didnt have any so that is another project.

I pulled the top off the second air that I installed and you can see that Dometic figured it out and enclosed the entire unit in styrofoam formed.

Thumbs down Black Shroud

Pulled my black shroud off today. Replaced it with a used white one.($50) Most dealers who service roof A/C toppers have them on old units.

Plan to cover my cold air box with Refectix.
https://www.homedepot.com/p/Reflecti...8025/100052556

Bought the smaller roll ($16).

Going to try to get this done before puling out on the 19th.

This has got to help with cooling.

Thumbs down OK. Now seats

Three years going and both seats are Flaking and peeling.

Bought Camping World Captain Seats pullovers. Tight fit. Tweak to allow seat adjustment levers to poke through. Great color match. ($79)

Real good to hear from you Pubtym! We thought the dingos ate you! In the picture I posted I wraped the outside of the air box with frost king. It was 12" x 15' and is sticky on one side. $15 at home depot.
I like the idea of the white cover, especially since the second air I put on has a white cover.

Here it is on Amazonhttps://www.amazon.com/Frost-King-FV516-Insulation-White/dp/B00H26CPFS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1533599771&sr=8-1&keywords=frost+king+self+adhesive

I bought it at Home depot but damned if I can find it on their site its model number FV516 it is an R3 value.
