ACE Battery Charger

Not sure if Thor uses the same battery charger / maintainer system on all of the ACE models, but has anyone followed Handy Bob's Blog advice to match the charger to the type of batteries installed in the coach?

The RV Battery Charging Puzzle « HandyBob's Blog

My head is still spinning after reading this novel, but the information is very interesting. I'm going to assume that whatever the settings are on the charger are factory defaults and are not correct for my batteries. Based on Thor's quality control, I'm probably right.

I'm going to figure out what kind of charger i have, what kind of batteries i have, and pick up a hydrometer to figure out if my batteries are getting a full charge off this thing. I'd like to avoid running the noisy generator as much as possible, so I've got to get my battery stuff figured out.

If any of you have already been down this road, let me know. I'm very curious.

Found this thread about charger location and model numbers.

If the charger is under the bed and the batteries are up front, the voltage drop on that long of a run is going to be inadequate to FULLY charge the batteries. (according to Handy Bob)
