I just replaced my compressor on a 2011 Coachmen with Ford chassis, $1,100!!
Was that with labor, or just the parts?

+1. Had the compressor replaced last week on my ACE and learned that it's a common failure on the F53 chassis. You can't see the compressor from the front, but it's easily viewed if you crawl under the front of the coach. Look for evidence of compressor oil having leaked (light, honey colored oil dripping off bottom of compressor or collecting on front cross member).
When I took delivery of our 30.2 the prep guy told us to alway run the genny and use the roof ace. The cost of a new genny is cheaper than the chassis A/C compressor. Also the dash A/C will never keep the whole coach cool.
Our last trip to SD from VA I picked up a small 18" box fan that I plugged into the outlet in the fold out table on passenger side. It helps move the air and heat around that huge front windshield. I should look into the little fans to mount in the corners of the windshield.
Book only calls for 2 hours labor to replace the compressor and charge. Most places charge $75 hour for labor.
