The flashing of the lights when you turn on the jacks is it going through self test.

The flashing lights were confusing to me also. Know now--good to go.
Not real pleased with the construction quality of the cabinets and plumbing. I expect the short staples will not survive a long back road journey. Also found out what the expansion jack in the drawer is for----to hold the pantry shut while driving. We where not told this little info and had cans, spices, and small containers rolling around on the floor.
I am wondering why I have not heard any reply to the question about the awning over the entrance door. Did not mean to continue on like this---thanks.

? Are you talking about the retractable awning or the little drip strip above the door? If the retractable awning then it defiantly is supposed to be attached on both sides... Either way get it to the dealer not correct to be loose.

Thank you for the reply and it is the forward door awning arm. It is attached at the bottom to the RV and to the awning at the top. You can pull the awning out about 3 inches from the RV. The rear arm has an attachment 1/2 from bottom to top that locks that arm to the RV.
I was told that this is the way they all are mounted but they (DEALER) would try to fix the bounce against the RV while driving on rough roads. The solution --- put a small clear plastic bumper on the RV. The arm will still bounce but possibly wont do to much harm to the side of the RV.
Not my idea of a solution---originally I had requested another lock installed on the forward arm. I was told that neither Thor nor the awning company would ok the work.
Originally I was asking if anyone else has had a similar problem.

Can you post a picture of the awning pulled away from RV?

Farmer Steve this is an old fellow with little use for electronics. It may be possible later this week but not now. Evidently no one has had this problem---I will have to go see several EVO 27.1 ACE and compare. Thank you for the replies and concern.

I agree, Mitch at Motor Home Specialist was great to work with. I called them in the morning 8am in CA, booked flight for 11am, they picked me up at airport at 3pm, starting driving home at 6pm.

Was a spur of the moment decision to buy from MHS, but they were very easy to work with. I would go back if and when I'm ready to upgrade.

Door stuck closed 29.2

Yesterday I set up the new 29.2 outside to air it out and try things outside. So I set it up in the grass then leveled with auto levelers then slid slide out. It Did fine till about two hours later when the door started to get hard to close. Meaning had to slam it! Went into the house for an hour to get ready for a party and then came out and tried the door to the ACE. It would not open no matter how much I tried to the point of doing damage to the latch.

We were in a hurry so left it for later thinking we had a major problem. Long story short came back 4 hours later and the door opened right up no problem, no sticking!

As far as I can tell the top and bottom rods in the door were rubbing on the frame. Should I ream them out? I can see this as a real problem if we are on the road and stuck in a parking lot somewhere with no tools! I might just leave a window unlocked somewhere just in case.

Anybody else have this and fix it?

it sounds to me that the jacks settled into the grass and the frame twisted a little bit. After the chassis set for awhile, the other jacket up and released the stress.

I wouldn't do anything unless you see the same problem with the jacks on plates or on cement.

I concur, these things flex by design to keep them from vibrating apart and hate being unleveled. I always use jacks pads if not on concrete. On Hot days they will even sink into asphalt. One jack stand 1/2" out of level can cause sticking problems and cause issues to your refrig system over time.

We had a similar problem with our ACE 27.1. Turned out to be the screen door latch not releasing properly. The screen door kept the main door from opening. Had to readjust the catch on the door.

Thor ACE 30.2 Cigarette lighters

I have a ACE 30.2 and all 3 cigarette lighter power adapters do not work. I've checked the Ford user manual but can't find which fuse or fuse box is applicable?
Does anyone know?

I have the Thor ACE 27.1. The fuse for the lighters is inside the Power Dist. Box. This box is mounted on the firewall just above the radiator on mine. There is a latch on the lower right side to open it. It is mentioned in the Ford manual but the box doesn't look like a fuse box so it fools you.

Talking rock is correct. But I had my 27.1 in for 28 repairs and the 12 volt outlets not working was one. They found that there aWas a short ( a screw or something went through a wire) that kept blowing a fuse. I really had to pull a bunch to find it.
