I am amazed that a sewer pump like this has bolts that sit inside the water/sewer all the time. They will rust unless made of like bronze or aluminum. (which they weren't)
I am going to try the "sewer solution" water injection instead of a macerator pump. I picked one up yesterday at CW and will try it out this weekend. If it sucks, I will look at getting another Macerator pump that does not have bolts in the water/sewer to rust. I found a few on Amazon, but I figured non moving and non rustable parts might be the way to go.

Be careful with the Sewer Solution.... I just used it and it DOES work as advertised. I had to use two of their extension hoses to get from my rig to the cleanup by my garage. The only real issue for me was the slip connections between the extensions are not real secure. Nothing came disconnected during my black tank emptying but when I was done and disconnecting, just jiggling the hose slipped the connections apart. I'll tape them next time to be sure.
It did pump uphill a couple of feet at a distance of about 35 feet. Wasn't fast but worked great and saved me a paid trip to the local campground to use their dump station.
I got the Sewer Solution so I could winterize at the house and empty if need be as well after a trip. It works, the hose is clear so you can see the progress, and the back flush is nice so you can rinse the valves from the other side a bit. I got a clear extension so I could see the contents and actually couldn't have used the device without it as it was too close to the handles and the hose wouldn't have attached (2015 ACE 29.2, no macerator).
Tape those connectors and you'll be fine. Not sure about the long term durability, but it will save me $15 each time I use it.
