I started out about to purchase a low mile 2013 Thor ACE 29.2 until the dealer sold it right out from under me. So now I am looking at the 2014 models and noticed that because of Thor's issues with the generator overheating in those 2011-2013 29.2 models (due to its proximity to the engine heat), they have moved it to the back and totally ruined the awesome rear 'basement/garage' the 29.2 ACE used to enjoy. I imagine this was far easier (Read: cheaper) than working to solve the overheating issues themselves with better insulation or isolation. But it is seriously disappointing to loose one of the two huge access doors that the rig used to have. You could almost get a full-sized bike or scooter in that space and now it's ruined. ANY 2014 OWNERS OUT THERE CARE TO COMMENT ON HOW THEY FEEL ABOUT THE 'NEW' SMALLER SPACE?

As of right now there are 669 replies to ACE generator fail so as a 14 owner no I don't mind. Good size opening on right side still so if it works it works for me. Most of us ACE owners are coming from small potatoes which makes the 29.2 look big anyway.

Our 2013 29.2 ACE has the genny in the rear driver side....that is my space....DH has the other side.... plenty of room for all our stuff....love travelling in the ACe towing our 2002 Wrangler...we get to many out of the way sites!
