ARIA dreams are turning

Greetings, we are recent Aria buyers. Our windshield was damaged by a hail storm and we ordered a factory one to replace. It was to be put on last Thursday. The one ordered did not fit. The company says it is Thor’s fault due to the shape of the window and Thor said to try another manufacturer. The problem is, we cannot drive the RV and we live in it. We sold everything we owned to buy a new Aria in June of this summer.

Since last Thursday and until someone helps us, we are parked behind a shop owned by Wade's RV in Oklahoma. We are almost ready to quit on our dream of travel. We still get wet in bed when it rains, and we can see outside under the furniture, because no seals were installed inside on the slides. There are many other issues that were not completed when the Aria left manufacturing, but despite this, we like the Aria and dreamed of it for 2 years. We are not happy with our 2019 Aria 3901, to say the least. We are very positive people, but we are wearing down stuck living by a pile of tires and with no septic. We are desperate for help and see no end to our situation! : (

I don't mean to be insensitive but is there a reason you can't take a trip the old fashioned way while you're waiting for the RV to be fixed? This is a great opportunity to fly somewhere or just take your car and go visit someplace new. As MH owners we always have to have a plan B. It is most unfortunate that you are having problems but this is nothing new. You will eventually get this fixed and be back on the road again.
Be as pro active as you can on expediting the repair process. Once you are sure you've done everything you can you have to move on to plan B.

My number one suggestion to people on this forum to try and help take the sting out the MH being in the shop is; Plan and save for a great vacation without the MH. Then when trouble hits ( it does for many ) you get to go to Hawaii or someplace really nice.

Start working on your plan B and good luck getting the repair done and back on the road again!

edit; You need to try your best to keep the water from coming in the RV even if this means tarps.

Your experience is not unique. Most motor homes come with a set of problems due to lack of quality control at the factories.
You best bet is to get that windshield fixed in either an orthodox manner or unorthodox manner (tape and caulking) and head to the factory to get all your problems taken care of in one shot. Dealers will be of little or no use due to work done by unskilled & sloppy labor on top of not having any interest in rectifying facory build problems, specially if you didn't buy it from them.

Don't get discouraged and call the Thor service center and tell them you are coming to the factory service center with a wash list of your problems. Make sure you maintain a list of the problems as they will request it to estimate the required hours needed to repair your coach.
We did the same with our Tuscany and spend 8 working days at the service center to take care of all our problems. We did leave there without any remaining problems.[emoji106]
