When I was getting my Vegas 24.1 ready for storage last fall, I noticed a device hanging in the propane storage compartment. I found that this is a Bracket Retainer for the slide and according to the schematic for the trunk layout, it apparently attaches to the Bracket slide anchor. My slide out worked perfectly all summer, apparently without this being attached. Has anyone had experience with this? I’ll soon be getting it out of storage and want to re-attach it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

If so its the seat belt anchor bracket. It is supposed to be mounted under the slide where the cafe seats with seat belts are located. It rides in the middle of a slot in the underside of the slide. When the slide is closed, it provides a means to anchor the cafe seat belts to the chassis in case of an accident.

Why do I know so much about these - my RV had it installed incorrectly and was causing the slide to bind - eventually causing a total failure.

Thanks Paul. Yes, that's it. For some reason I was unable to post a photo on this thread. I found it hanging unattached in the propane compartment and removed it. I was afraid it might be a stop to prevent the slide from moving out too far. The slide worked perfectly all summer (before I discovered it) so apparently it didn't interfere. Was it difficult to reinstall it on yours? Again, thanks for the feedback.

Mine was installed, but incorrectly. It would rub as the slide was going out.
The slide expert at Thor clued me in as to what it was. I undid all the mounting bolts, adjusted it so it as centered, remounted it and them adjusted the height.

The big question running through my mind - Why isn't it installed?
This is part of the seat belt anchoring system for the cafe seating.
Sounds like an assembly person skipped the installation. If its still under warranty, I would have Thor install it. Maybe mention a NHTSC compliant if they hassle you.

Considering there are at least two that came off the line without them installed, it could initiate a recall
