Chalking body color '13 Four Winds

We have a 2013 four winds class c, and the body color is already chalking. The coach is only a year old and when I wash it, the white color on the body is washing off. After it is dried, the chalking is obvious. This is our first Thor product, so just wondering if this is common and what can be done to correct this. The 1 year factory warranty expired July 14.

Are you talking about the fiberglass gel coat chalking? A good wax should protect it. Was it ever waxed in the first year of use? You could also read on here about the Red Max #3 or Zap High Traffic Floor Finish treatment. Use the search function at the top to find many threads on this topic.

It is the fiberglass gel coat that is chalking.

It was not waxed during the first year of ownership. It spent July thru April in the body shop then it has been back to the dealership off and on over the last 6 months It's there again now. I'll check the recommended threads and take action before winer comes to Central Indiana.
Thanks for your advice.

compound/wax it up while you still can. My friend has a 2010, and the gelcoat is that chalky that it's on the edge of being too far gone.

What wax, or compound /wax would you guys recommend? I have used Meguires cleaner wax on autos before,w and some on our first class C. It did ok on the C however it was extremely hard to take off without streaking.
