Challenger Wiper problem

I have a 2015 Challenger 37XL, the passenger wiper went 180 out. Meaning it was wiping the grill not the windshield. RV dealer had to order a new complete wiper system. They couldn't get the wipers back in sink.

Anyone with this problem????

It's an undocumented "feature" to keep the bugs off of your radiator gril!

Kidding aside, that's the most out of whack setting I have heard of. I do recall reading another thread where the wipers were keeping the pillars clean, (the opposite of yours).

Not sure what the total number of failures like your is - but it is beginning to sound serious. At least three on this forum - including me have reported the same problem and at least one had a repeat failure with the replacement. BTW we are almost neighbors. We live near Needville.

We have also had a couple issues with wipers on our 2013 ACE, for as little as they are used its not acceptable. It's a very serious safety issue! Our first problem was that thor put to small of a fuse in the BCC. The second issue happened a few weeks ago while driving in the rain, the drivers side wiper arm made a loud snap noise and no longer had spring tension. The wiper arm failed where it was pressed together, CHEAP CRAP!

The problem described is due to "slop" in the push/pull ball joints that articulate off of the motor crank arm. This allows the pivot arm on the affected wiper to go over center and now the sweeping pattern is 180 degrees out of phase. The solution is new articulating hardware. A friend has gone through hell with two different dealers getting the wipers fixed on his 2009 Hurricane. Finally had to go to Thor service center in Indiana and they installed everything new - from the motor to the wiper blades. To me that was like shooting a fly with a cannon! However the wipers now work for the first time since the MH was new.

Had the same issue with my Damon daybreak. Twice the dealer replaced the wiper motor but happened again, when I looked at it I noticed that the nut that holds the wiper arm to the body was loose on both sides tightened them myself as I lost confidence in the dealer. I don't buy that we should accept all of these issues to keep a respectable price, we believe what they tell us to believe
