Crashed ACE on eBay
Check out this wrecked ACE on EBay...
Ford Other Motor Home | eBay
I think it would take too much for it to be safe enough to travel in. Look at the damage at the rear, looks like the chassis stopped when it crashed but the top coach part kept going forward causing the back wall to come apart. I'm surprised the slide out still worked.

Holly Cow! I'm still trying to figure out how the rest of the coach could move forward on the chassis! The front end damage doesn't bother me as much, but there is a REASON that the insurance company TOTALED the coach! That coach BEFORE the accident had a value of perhaps 55k to 65k (ballpark figure), they're asking 33k?!? Wow! If you use the figure of 60% to 70% for the value of a "salvage or rebuilt title" motor home, than the coach FULLY REPAIRED, but with the rebuilt title would realistically be worth 36k to 42k . . . . so you have a working budget of 3k to 9k to repair it (not including labor of course) in order to just have a coach that is a fair value for the money spent . . . . I don't think you could order the parts alone for 9k . . . . They'll find someone thought, (P.T. Barnum)

My cousin was looking at this one and I told him to run away as fast as he could!!!!
This one is also on craigslist.
Really shows how the rv's are not like cars and are not crash tested.
Must have sheared all the attachment points from the floor to steel I beams.
This should only be sold as parts!!!

Wow! you can see how the wheel wells line up to the wheels. it's very clear that the home has slid forward on the ford chassis. That thing is way worse of than what they're saying with just "Front End Damage" and certainly not worth $33k.

I was really interested in this when it hit ebay, that's when the seller had only a few pictures posted. Looked like a quick and easy front 1/2 cap fix / replace. I talked to the seller in detail, and he was down to 20K cash to let it go. He sent me another 25 pictures and that's where you could see the damage he was not disclosing. All of the C channel that the motorhome is built on above the frame twisted forward, pushing the body forward 2.5", and the back of the frame pushed the back wall out. Kinda scary to think a minimal impact did that much damage, this thing is toast.
I was thinking I would get it for 20K, another 3K to transport it, another 3K in parts and paint (doing it myself), and it would sell for 40 easy. That plan isn't going to work...
I complained to the seller and ebay, the seller quickly put up more pictures so you could see the damage from the side and rear. He still doesn't give that detail in the description, he is a little shady.

Hey, let's not be to fussy here. Nothing that a few ratchet straps, a come-along, and a solid oak tree can't cure. Oh, and a box or two of galvanized building ties & self-tapping screws... I mean, what could possibly go wrong? Just slide 'er back and screw it down.
Scary thing is I bet someone will try. And then sell it at an attractive discount with as little info as they can get away with. ("Oh that salvage title - it's nothing to worry about...")

You could even use a bunch of Eternabond tape, flair it into the portion that is ripped loose in the rear, and sell it as a "Soft tail" or "Dove tail" and ask LOTS of money for it since there won't be another one on the road like it! Or in the salvage yard . . .
