Cup holder fix for 2014 Thor Vegas
Use 3 1/2 inch pvc & cut to 3/1/2 inches with miter saw so it is square. Paint black & add thin velcro inside top edge (Stop rattles). Super glue to cup holder. Perfect fit for mighty mugs or equivalent size.

So what was wrong with the original holder with the slot for a mug handle? Gluing it in place limits you and future users as to what size cup will fit now.

Drinks would fall over due to poor design

It's not jut the Vegas, I believe all of the Thor units use these cup holders. I for one will implement your fix on my Hurricane.

Let me say first off, we love our Thor Challenger. With that said, calling this a poor design is an insult to any design engineer. Someone with a big handled coffee cup saw the holder and said "oh yeah". For me I like my thermal mug, with no handle and I like this redesign.
Too funny - should have seen this myself. Cheap and easy. I may put a bit of velcro on the base and not super glue.
Thanks. A blinding flash of the obvious.

In a van with too large cup holders like that, I cut down a foam beer cozy that held a smaller diameter cup just fine, no rattling or tipping, kept it in the door pocket.

Where do you find 3-1/2" PVC pipe. Lowes/HD have either 3" or 4".
