The Palazzo sits lower then my 2010 Serrano did and I would be more careful with the Palazzo on unimproved roads. I could take a measurement on Sunday and let you know.

I took a few measurements around the outside and found different clearences between the front fairing (about 11 inches) to the fairings just in front of the rear tires where the clearence 9.5 to 10 inches so be careful when you are near a curb you may scrape. One other caution would be the trailer hitch, be careful going up a steeper drive, you may drag the hitch due to the extension of the coach aft of the rear tires and the already low clearence.
I would not be afraid of going down a gravel road if it was somewhat level or graded but if it had deep ruts I would avoid this type of road.

Thanks Jack for the info it was nice to see your info. The County does grade part of the Road and i have put gravel down the rest of the way in to our Gate and i put my tractor to work on that part to keep it as level as i can. I have been looking in Tucson, Arizona for a dealer and the 2 that i contacted do not and won't stock the Palazzo We are still on the Road in New York, will Ask Thor about that when we get to their Plant later this month. We did find a Dealer in Texas that has 3 of the 33.1 and getting the other ones soon. We had not planned on going back through Texas on our way home because of the endless drive and Heat and wind but we may adjust our plans just to see and Drive one before we make our Final Choice. I think she looks like a Good looking coach and we want to go to a DP this time.

If you are talking about Motor Home Specialist in Alvaredo( www.MHSRV.com), I bought my ACE from them last year and had a very good experience working with them. They have very competitive prices and when I was ready to fly in from Georgia, they met me at the DFW airport. Found a small chip in the windshield during the walk around and they set up to have a new one shipped to Georgia and Thor paid to have it installed. I will go back there if and when I buy again.

Very interesting. I wonder why they won't stock the Palazzo, seems like a hot selling item at a good price point.

That is what i was thinking. Go figure. They ( Tucson) have high end and some Gas but not much to look at. I guess we will be talking to the Rv Dealer in Texas and maybe changing our trip to stop by to take a look.

Thank you for your Info. I was talking about that dealer. We are trying to make a choice of another Gas or go with a DP. We live in Arizona but at this time we are in New York. That RV Dealer looks good with lots of Coach's to see. Can you tell me if you have to have something done to your coach in your home state is there a Problem as far as getting a local Rv Dealer work on it if you did not buy from them?? After we bought our Couch in Indiana and we drove it home to California we had to have some work done to it. We took it to the local Dealer and they did not want to do the work as we did not buy it from them. We had to call Georgie Boy and tell them. Guess What Dealer was told you will Do the work and there is N/C.............I am not sure if we buy from MHSRV what to expect as we are in Arizon. Thanks for your info and any help you can give us.

Excellent question Tractor. After seeing their pricing I plan on giving them a call and they are a long way from me.

Since the local Camping World is authorized to work on it, they have taken care of the coach related issues. Chassis issues in my case are done by the local Ford dealer. It has not been an issue for me. The only bad part of buying out of State for me was having to pay the Sales tax when I went to get the tag. But I knew ahead of time and the money they saved me made it very worthwhile.

I have been looking at a Palazzo 33.1, but must see the 33.2 before making a move. I asked my local Camping World if they gave buyers from their lot priority repair. They said yes, but will work on any unit regardless of where it was purchased. They said they give "travelers" first priority, which I agree with....get them on the road.
I did not ask them if they do diesel work...oil and filters, sure, but I mean "inside the engine work"...I guess we would be better served by a authorized diesel dealer....

Jack,
We purchased a palazzo 33.2 at the Louisville show as well. We understood that there was a way to set the inverter to automatically start the generator when needed. Did we misunderstand or is it possible?

I don't know exactly how it works, but auto generator start is a standard electrical feature on all 3 Palazzo models according to Thor's website.

First off congratulations on your purchase of the 33.2! As for the auto-start generator you heard correctly. I never owned an RV with an inverter so I am still learning how it all works therefore I have not set up the auto-start function. Once set the generator will start under two conditions, re-charge the batteries and/or if the inside coach temperature gets too high, good for pets left in the coach during hot days.
If you look in the cabinet above the door you will see the control panel labeled “Magnum Energy” with 5 buttons across the bottom, “Shore”, “AGS (Auto-Generator Start), “Meter”, “Setup”, and “Tech”.
During delivery the person who walked us around told me that this panel was all set up and he suggested that we not touch anything until we read all the instructions. Reason being there is a lot of initial setting about type and size of batteries, etc. that should not be changed unless you change the batteries. Looks like we will be learning together!

Interesting. I did not think the AGS had anything to do with temperature. I thought it would start the generator when battery voltage got too low. So if you left the A/C on it would start when voltage dropped.
But it is not clear in the manual. Seems a lot lacking in the manual. Maybe there is another guide that explains the AGS. I don't have a Palazzo so only know what I read in the manuals and what sales people tell me.
