From my memory Hurricane and Windsport are essentially the same units with a different name. Kind of like Winnebago/ Itasca or some Ford/mercury models of days past. ACE is a totally different line and I have no experience with it other than when I went browsing through several at a dealers lot. I was not impressed.

Interiors are different in colors and combinations. Windsports are the same level and trim as the Hurricane but the caps are different. ACE have lower quality materials and a limited option list. Go to the Thor Motorhome site and look specification and features. Miramar is the next step up ($15,000).

The Windsports have a full body paint job and 22.5 tires. The Hurricane does not.

Checking the Thor Motorcoach web site shows only partial paint is available for both the Windsport and Hurricane for $2,600, Full paint is available on the Miramar coach and above. Both Windsport and Hurricane 31S are built on Ford 18,000 lb chassis which has 19.5" steel wheels. The Miramar is built on the 22,000 lb Ford chassis and has 22.5" aluminum wheels

When the ACE hit the market it was billed as a hybrid of a class A and C with the bunk over the driving area but more and more models are coming out with the same. Makes a class A a bit more family friendly with additional sleeping options.

The Hurricane and the Windsport models have identical floor plans but different color plans and you might find a few upgrades with the Windsport. Pretty much as wildtoad described. Tire/wheel size will be dependent on the chassis the house is built on. None of the three have full body paint.

I'm coming into my sixth year of ownership of an 2006 Hurricane 31D and enjoying the coach very much. Was thinking about upgrading to a DP last year but decided the Hurricane has everything we need and suits our camping/travel plans.
